is there such thing as a true blue rose?????? because people say that in Japan the scientists found out how.

Reply:Star Roses has hybrid teas that have a blue cast to them. You can look at the catalog by doing a web search for Star Roses.
Reply:The closest commonly available is called Blue Girl and is more of a lavender. But they are trying. If they can make glow in the dark mice it won't be long before they get blue roses.

Reply:Not yet! The true blue rose is still the Holy Grail of rose hybridizers. What they are calling "blue" roses still have a lot of lavender in them. The Japanese have come as close as anybody, but they are still not sky blue!
Reply:Yes there is, they are genetically modified roses. A lot of plants and animal these days are genetically modified. Its still rare thou to see a blue rose.
