do you guys know any other players that has the strength athletiscm, and speed of derrick rose? is he like a rare player? would you want him?

of course, if I was any NBA team I would love to have him on my team,to me he's like a Lebron James but not as experienced and shorter, I played against him in High school and I must say he's pretty good.

Reply:Chicago and Illinois in general is known for producing some of the finest point guards in the history of the game Isiah, Doc Rivers, Tim Hardaway (the list goes on).



I have not seen him play but Simeon has a reputation of producing quality teams.



I'm not big on high school guys going straight to the pros and I really felt like this hurt Shaun Livingston because there is a MARKED DIFFERENCE between playing high school games and running against college and pro guys away from their league and an 82 game season in the NBA.



So IF your question is would I want him for an NBA squad, my answer is NO. He most likely won't do anything for you in his first three years anyway. You're better off with a journeymen.



IF you're asking about college NO DOUBT! His scouting report says that he is a strong, aggressive penetrator which means he will get lots of extra attention going to the hole. The scouts were less impressed with his jumper.



We shouldn't be so anxious to see high school guys go straight to the pros. What's more, we don't know what the future holds for anyone. Remember Will Bynum had "next"? He's over in Israel now probably trying to make it into the NBA.



Derrick Rose sounds like he will be a good pro someday. I'm glad to see he went to college first.

Reply:when u think about rose u think about a young Steve Francis but this kid could easily be injury prone because if u look at players who play the game like he does i.e Baron Davis, Steve Francis when small guards plays like that they always get injured so i think barring serious injury he will be a one of the leaders in the league and will be a top pick for sure cant wait to see what this kid has to offer in the big l tho

Reply:Derick Rose had to go to college first, the NBA has a new regulation on age limits. anyways. Rose is gonna be really good. He is projected as the first pick on NBADraft.net, thats pretty impressive because next years draft is gonna be pretty stacked. Especially in guards. I think Rose is gonna be better than OJ Mayo
