Rose help!!?

Just moved to a new place and found a rose bush with major aphid infestation. Can I save this plant?? Any natural remedies or just poison? Cannot even see the bud because it is covered in these little bugs. I plan to continue its up keep. How do I help it survive?? Thanks for all answers.

Rose help!!?
buy sevin it's a bug remover and then water it with lots of sun light and put a good fertilizer on it with a high phosphorus
Reply:There are two good ways to rid roses of aphids without using poisons. One is a diluted soap/ water mix. Put about one tablespoon of liquid soap per pint of water. Spray the aphids. Another more natural way is ladybugs- You can buy them through most garden catalogs. Lady bugs love to eat aphids and they won't harm the roses- or anything else in the flower or vegetable garden.
Reply:I read once that pureed aphids, sprayed diluted onto a plant, will deter aphids. They sense their "dead", and figure it's a bad place to hang out.

Now, I've never actually made that spray...but what I do is just take my fingers, reach down as far as I can below the bud, and the pull up while maintaining a firm grip...which squishes all the aphids. I leave their squishes carcasses where they are...and generally, I don't have re-infestation problems.

I suppose you could plastic gloves if you don't like touching them.
