Which do you think is better? Aubrey Rose or Aubrey Michelle?

Rose is my 7 year old daughters middle name now (Makenna Rose). I didnt think of it until she mentioned having the new baby's middle name the same as hers. Thought it was kinda a cute idea espacially w the idea coming from her. One thing though, Makenna is not my husbands daughter so I dont know how much it makes sense naming the baby the same as my daughter only?? or does it matter-as long as he agrees of course...and Michelle is my mother in laws first name. It sounds nice and I love my mother in law. But also my own mother may be a bit upset that she's named after my husbands mom. You know how moms can be..thanks for your opinions

I'd go with Aubrey Rose, not Michelle, unless your mum's name is Rose, in which case she already has one named after her. You don't want to offend your mum. Otherwise come up with another name. Does your husband have any ideas?

I like Aubrey but I've never heard it as a girls name. My grandfather was John Aubrey.
Reply:aubrey rose is such a beautiful name!! i absolutely love it!! we had this name picked out for my grandaughter and the name was chosen by me!! my son and daughter in law loved it to but as it has turned out we have a baby boy due in august! his name is landon scott!!aubrey rose hon is just such a sweet beautiful name!! i just love it!!
Reply:I personally think that if you may offend someone don't do it. I would go with Rose. First of all, it's beautiful. Secondly, I love that it came from yorur first daughter - what a wonderful way to show family unity. Your daughter already has a grasp on that - awesome!! God Bless!!
Reply:My son is Aubrey Kenneth so this of course is one of my fave names. I like one of the meanings which is "elf-ruler." I think Rose is a beautiful middle name although my sisters middle name is Michelle too; sorry I am no help! I would say Aubrey Rose.

Reply:Give the baby her own middle name. I wouldn't be using his mom's name if it will upset your mom. Dangerous! The only family names we used were my husband's father's and grandfather's middle name (Francis) for our 1st daughter (I did it because she wouldn't be carrying on the family's last name and my husband is one of the few males in the line left, but we used the feminine spelling). Then when his grandma died, we used her first name as our 3rd daughter's middle name.

I would choose something completely new for her - even though the Rose idea is really sweet! Maybe another "R" name?
