I want to have a rose/night themed wedding. The colors are red, black, and white. Any ideas that would also be inexpensive but memorable? (Serious please)
Rose Wedding Theme Ideas???
these roses are beautiful http://www.stanforddesigns.net/images/ph... Also I would have white table clothes with red and black table runners and then if you want you could switch and have red clothes with table runners in black and white and so on. I would look at a bridal magazine they have tons of ideas for every theme.
Reply:Nothing is better at an evening wedding than candles. Try to find red and white rose-shaped floating candles that you can put into clear bowls to add a nice glow to your venue.
Reply:Blanket your aisle runner in white petals ... have the flower girls drop red petals that lead up to the altar which is absolutley covered in red petals .... white candles in votive holders going up either side of the aisle .... same simple white candles in votive holders in the church window sill ... Bride in white carrying a bouquet of fiery red roses ... Groom and Groomsmen in black suits ... Maids and matrons in eautiful red gowns carrying white bouquets maybe a rose in their hair....
Reception
Guest tables white linens with red petals piled in the middle with white candles sitting in the pile about four of hem should do .... each setting should have a neatly folded napkin with a rose tucked in it ...... a second option would be to have bloomed roses arranged in a silver bowl with white candles surrounding the arrangement .....
alternate the arrangement for the bridal party and sweetheart tables .... make a rose colored signiture drink and float a petal in the glass ..... the candles, bowls, and votiveholders can be purchased at the dollar store .... te freeze dried petals can be purchased in bulk on line ... you may have to spend extra to get a lot of petals but you will save a lot on the things from the dollar store ... get fresh roses for your cake topper
Reply:Hi and congratulations!
I just LOVE roses myself! Great choice of a theme.
This is so easy because almost everything "wedding" comes with roses....invitations, flowers, etc.
~ You can start by having a red rose on your invitation (if you want.)
~ Centerpieces can be red roses. You don't need a whole dozen...just a few in a bud vase with some votives next to it...and then sprinkle a few rose petals around that.
OR...get a glass bowl or vase and float "rose shaped" floating candles in them.
Are the girls dresses red or black? In any case, I love the contrast of having the girls (if wearing red or black) carry white or ivory roses....then you in your white dress carrying red roses. I have seen this in many wedding photographs and it looks beautiful! It is a little different than the traditional white/ivory flowers for the bride....but it looks great!
Simply Google in "rose theme wedding ideas" and you will get lots more ideas.
Good luck and I hope you have a beautiful wedding!
Reply:I'm doing a winter/christmas red and white wedding were using wreaths with candles in the middle. Go to Garden Ridge and you can find big packs of white candles cheap, then just decorate with some sort of garnish around them to give it a little extra and you have a cheap but nice centerpiece
Reply:A nice centerpiece would be to float a red candle (or red rose) in water in a brandy snifter. You could line the bottom of the snifter with black and white aquarium gravel.
Reply:I did all red roses for my wedding (an evening in November); here are some pictures you can browse. (You could perhaps change the table runners to black and white)...
I really loved the candleabra (wrought iron with roses-not the greatest picture)

We didn't have an official bridal party, but my sister-in-laws and closest friends wore little black dresses -- it looked great
Good luck!
Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend Costco for the roses -- you'll save a ton and we used them for my wedding and my little bro's wedding; they are beautiful flowers -- you just need someone to do the arranging (sometimes they have someone who works in the flower department)
Reply:Silk rose petals scattered across the tables always look elegant. When is your wedding? There is a lot of rose related items that come out in February for Valentine's.
Reply:If its possible, rent out a rose garden or some beatiful outdoor site. Have lots of candles, and decorate the place with twinkle lights. I like your theme. it sounds very romantic.
