Why is the rose a symbol of Prophet Mohammed?

Also is it just the red rose, or the rose in general?

Rose is not a symbol of Prophet Mohammed (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). You might have misunderstood or somebody gave you incorrect information.

Reply:Well I do't know from where you get this information, but I can say that Prophet Muhammed PBUH is symbolized by nice things according to Muslims. On the net or in any other place Muslims can not symbolize any prophet with human pictures by painting or any other else way.

Reply:there is no rose or symbol of prophet Muhammed (PEUH).
Reply:Not really a symbol. Because in Islam it is not allowed to put a picture of him, so Muslims put a flower or a rose in a book to represent him. But, the only place I saw that is in children's story books. Sometimes they put a circle of light.
