Rose bush care?
To trim back any kind of roses....trim at an angle away from the main stalk. Also...once they have leaves, cut the branch right above the area that has 5 leaves combined. This helps promote more buds and faster growth. Hope this helps.
Reply:Cut to one just the tips of the branches at an angle. Make sure the inside looks fresh and not dead. If looks dead cut down a bit more until you find some that is alive.
Reply:Prune it now.Take every thing off the branches.Only leave three of the thicker branches. It will take off, I did it last year and I'm keeping mine trimmed every time I get a rose off of it.Remember every little piece of a limb---leave three that will allow the bush to be even in shape when it grows out.Good luck....
Reply:If you are in the Northeast wait to prune til the end of April. Prune at an angle. Use a systemic fertilizer--follow directions on the package. When you get roses always cut the dead flowers always cut at an angle.
