Floyd rose on a les paul style guitar?

I am interested on putting a floyd rose on my fender tornado gt hh and was wondering if this is possible and how to go about it.

Floyd rose on a les paul style guitar?
A Fender Tornado is nothing like a Les Paul.

If the guitar does not have a trem on it right now it will take MAJOR work to do it... likely more than the value of the guitar.

If the guitar DOES have a trem you MIGHT be able to install a Floyd IF there is sufficient room for the pivots AND if the measurements work out. You can't just put any bridge on any guitar.

In any case, this is a job for an experienced repairperson, not a do-it-yourself project.
Reply:I'd say don't do it. If you really like the guitar and the way it plays you shouldn't mess with modifying it. Buy a guitar that has a Floyd Rose already installed and I bet you'll be much happier.
Reply:Gotta think about this one here: A Fender Tornado doesn't have a tremolo system on it, correct? If it does, putting a Floyd Rose on is no problem. But if it doesn't, it's probably going to be more trouble and expense than it's worth to put a Floyd Rose on it because you'd have to have a luthier or someone who REALLY knows what he's doing carve out the body for you so you could put the tremolo system in. Trying to remember, but at one time there was a company that made tremolo systems for Les Paul style stop-tailpiece and bridge guitars. You couldn't dive-bomb with it like you can with a Floyd Rose, but that may be a more feasible alternative. Check out the website below to see some of those tremolo systems.
