My rose bush was just coming to life after a cool winter, It really looked good, lots of new leaves, today I look and all the leaves are gone, what animal would eat this? How can I get it to come back

its most definitely deer or rabbits, the pesky buggers ate my roses also. Without putting a small fence around them I don't know what else you would do to keep them from eating them.(maybe shoot em j/k) The flowers and leaves will come back though as long as you protect them or the animals will just keep eating them.
Reply:Deer and rabbits will eat the foliage of your roses. If the root
system is strong the plant should come back on it's own after
awhile.
Reply:It was probably deer or rabbit. If it was beetles you would have noticed it happening slowly and would have seen the beetles.
