Jesus rose from the dead, after they rolled away the stone? Am I wrong?

stone = physical body.

rose from the dead = astral travelled, appearing even unto the physical plane, or at least his well-known disciples.

So some dude got murdered, and then did what multitudes of Hindu mystics have done before.

Am I wrong? Or should I go on celebrating some 2000 year old Legislated Murder Mystery miserably?

Jesus rose from the dead, after they rolled away the stone? Am I wrong?
Your version is far more credible than the Christian version.

No offense intended to the Christians ... I'm just sayin' ....

Its far more credible!!!
Reply:My understanding is that they discovered he had risen from the dead when the stone was rolled away and his body was not there. This would mean the actual act had occurred prior.
Reply:No you should join Lucy in the sky with diamonds astro surfing sheeeesh!
Reply:You seem like a true seeker in search of earnest, heart-felt answers. Or not.

The fact of the matter is, atheists fascinate me. You at once deny the Christ while at the same time you hate him. How can that be? You take the time to mock what you suggest that you don't believe in. Why is that? If Jesus is not God made man then why do you care? You will not change anyone's mind any more than we'll change yours. So, why do you care? It's like me making up an imaginary animal. Are you going to waste your time railing against how stupid my little pretend animal is? I doubt it! So, what's your beef with Christ? If you think he isn't real then let it go! Why be hot and bothered over something that isn't real? Yet you are. You at once harbor anger toward Jesus while at the same time deny him! I mean, Satan hates Christ more than you do, but at least he is honest that Jesus is real!!! You are not quite as "together" as Lucifer.

My all time favorite question for atheists is this: Why do you hate Jesus so much? He loves you!

Lord bless, my confused friend. I'll pray for you.
Reply:I don't know about after but when he was resurrected the stone was rolled away. After the resurrection most scholars say that he was seen by 500 or more witnesses before he ascended to Heaven.
Reply:An angel rolled back the stone after Jesus had risen from the dead and the angel sat on it. (When the stone was put in place after the body of Jesus was placed in the tomb, it was heavily secured and guarded.)

After He arose from the dead, Jesus appeared to His disciples (he even ate with them) and to over 500. Remember, Jesus predicted this would happen. His death and resurrection were also predicted years before in the prophesies.
Reply:No,he wasn't even there.

I have read a book claiming that he never was entombed but

had his wounds cared for %26amp; then went to india to chillout for a few years with mary magdaline (they had a baby).
Reply:He arose and ascended into heaven.
Reply:Ya, you are wrong. He rose first. The angels rolled away the stone, a real stone. He didn't astral travel. He had a different sort of body, but one that was recognizable to those who knew him. And if he were dead he would not have astral traveled, because you need to be alive to do that. So.. the really big thing is that he came back to life, but not, some say, a resuscitated body. It can be confusing. Something really strange, different, and unheard of happened. And it gave power to his followers that they did not have before.
Reply:You are very very wrong.
Reply:Correct. Jesus was a gnostic and that’s all they meant and nothing should be taken literally, not even his existence.
Reply:Wrong, try again.
Reply:The biblical tale does not agree. It alleges that the body was missing when the stone was moved. But the tale is of dubious authenticity, and in any event can be ignored.
Reply:You're wrong of course...

Jesus appeared to over 500 people, astral travel is fake, (the airforce project was disbanded after years of research into it!), and Hindu mystics can do no such thing, (it's only in books and movies).

Plus, in the days of jesus' death, the Roman guards assigned to watch over the tomb did so with the knowledge of certain death if they allowed anyone near the tomb. The Romans knew who Jesus said He was and were there to see to it that no one came and stole the body to make it seem as though He had risen.
Reply:somewhat tainted theology held nowhere in christianity. no biblical scholar interprets stone to represent his physical body. if you wanna be miserable from something so glorious then that is up to you. he wasn't just "some dude" he is our savior, you might wanna appreciate that......
Reply:papa was a rolling stone.
Reply:No , you are definatley WRONG!
Reply:Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead three days later. He fulfilled all the prophesies that Isaiah the phophet made about the coming of the Messiah. He arose from the dead to break the power of death. If he had not raised himself from the dead he would not have been the son of God. Maybe you should get a bible. Isaiah chapter 61:1-2 and Luke 23 and 24.
Reply:It cannot be astral travel because only soul travels, body has to be there.

It is something like this. In india one saint called Ramalinga adigalar.

He asked his people to lock the door once he went inside a room, and within a moment he became light.

Kabir a saint after his death, muslims and hindus were fighting to do last rituals as per their customs.

But when they opened the box where the body kept, found few flowers only.

Junnaith's prime disciple manjurilahi become mass of light, whenever people came near to executive him.

Junnaith advised Manjur Ilahi to obey allah's order if it was will of allah.

Then he become normal and stoned to death.

He was a great saint and realised one.

These are all not stories. Real people.

Travelling from one place to another like this, is not new in India.

Personally I know few people doing these things. These powers are called ashtamasidhi. Nine type of powers.

It does not means that a person doing these should be religious/good. They could be bad also.

Miracles have nothing to do with purity or spirtuality.

I am trying explain the fact. Not to hurt anyone sentiment.

I personally respect Jesus as one great saint.

The persons I have mentioned above are saints who fought for the truth and humanity.
Reply:All I know is that JESUS definitely rose from the dead, and the "stone" referred to, was an actual stone that was placed in front of the tomb where JESUS was, and he had already rose from the dead, BEFORE the stone was moved! And as for the last part of your question, JESUS'S murder is not a mystery, it's a proven fact! And you don't ever have to be miserable if you have JESUS in your heart! And yes, you should celebrate, celebrate the fact that you don't have to go to hell, (unless you chose to.) when you die, because GOD loves you so much that he sent his son to die, so you don't have to!!
Reply:Jesus did rise 3 days after he was crucified and the stone was apart of Jesus tomb and 3 days after he was crucified Jesus rose from the grave.
Reply:He rose from puddle of mudd when he fell in it when he tried to fly and failed.

Instead of telling truth and getting embarrased, he lied that he rose from dead and the fact was he drowned in that mudd like a lazy pig for three days!
Reply:believe what ever you want, just don't slam my faith.
Reply:An "Angel" had rolled the stone away before the women got to the site.

A little different in each but never the less they all make it clear that an Angel rolled the stone away before the followers got there.

*Matthew 28*

*Mark 16*

*Luke 24*

*John 20*
Reply:You are very wrong on all what you have stated because you are not thinking very well like a matured person.

Stone is a material thing.

Rose from the dead means he was given the power of spirit of God to be ressurrected from the dead after three days of dying and spirit of God does not need any any airplne to travel from the earth to heaven because God is supernatural.

You do not know what you are saying . You misunderstood the bible if ever you have read it nad if you have not read it, do not comment on false cxommentaries against God.Just keep silent from your sit and view your TV of your computer.

jtm
Reply:im pretty sure it was before they moved the stone
Reply:Matthew Chapters 27-28..They even paid hush mouth money to keep the facts quiet!
Reply:No, they rolled away the stone and he wasn't there. In fact... he was like miles away.

Maybe... he was never there to begin with?
Reply:No, the stone was placed in front of the sepulcher. The "stone" is not referring to his body. When Jesus reappeared to his disciples, he told them to touch his hands, which still had holes in them, and put their hands in the spear wound in his side. It was his own body that he rose from the dead with. It was not an after-life astral travel.

3 Nephi 11: 14 (The Book of Mormon)

14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.

John 20: 27 (The Bible)

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
