i hope Rose does come back to doctor who, her replacements have not been up to scratch at all. i know shes back for a few episodes at the end of this one but what about next season. please help
Will Rose be staying for the next season?
Sorry no she not coming back in the next series
Reply:I really hope so!
but I doubt it, as the Doctor couldn't have a happy ending like the one Rose would give him, and I heard that he says he loves her in the last episode - so watch out for that!
I wish she could stay, though, as, i agree, Martha and Donna aren't nearly as good as Rose! I don't think any companion ever could be!
- THIS WILL NOT BE DAVID TENANTS LAST SEASON!!!! he has confermed that he wil be staying on, and it is that Cathrine Tate who has started this rumor - she's great, but she still shouldn't have said something like that!
anyway, i heard that David will be staying on till the 8th season, but I'm not sure any more!
Reply:Before two days ago i would have said there's a good chance.
There were rumours Billie's going to be in the three specials next year but it was announced three days ago she is pregnant now so it's unlikely she'll do anymore series.
It'll be very interesting how they end the last series 4 finale and why she doesn't go with the Doctor again.
David Tennant is staying - to me it looks very hopeful he will be doing the three specials PLUS the fifth series the next year 2010.
I know he wants to do a stage play next year [such a waste!] and the BBC were so keen to keep him as the Doctor that's why theres only three specials next year. So it's very hopeful he'll be back the year after in another full 13 episode series. I for one will be pretty miffed if they announce there's another 3 specials in 2010 too. It's not enough!
I do agree though the BBC should do whatever it takes to keep David Tennant as the Doctor. He's superb. He was born to play the part.
P.S It's highly likely [about 95% i'd say] that Donna will die in the series 4 finale as she only agreed to do one series so there will be a new companion in the specials and 2010 series.
Before i was about 80% sure of her death. After watching saturday's episode i'm now 95% because Donna's grandfather kept telling the Doctor he had to look after Donna and to promise he'd keep her safe. It's seems like their setting up the weepies folks!
Reply:It has only been confirmed that she will be in the final three episodes of this series, and that she will not appear in the 2008 Christmas special. Apparently Dervla Kirwin ("Ballykissangel", "Goodnight Sweetheart") has been spotted filming for the Christmas special alongside David Tennant, and seems to be a one off companion like Kylie Minogue in "Voyage of the Damned" last year.
There is no information about whether Billie Piper will be back after that, but it seems very unlikely. Russel. T Davies is still writing the three 2009 bank holiday specials. Another 2009 Christmas special will follow those, then series 5 won't be broadcast until 2010. So it is much more likely that there will be a new companion in series 5.
Edit - Hadn't seen Peter H's link before - OK, apparently Dervla Kirwin is a baddie. Very interesting link. Well worth a look.
Reply:Spacephantom has got it wrong about Dervla Kirwin as a companion for The Doctor, she is playing a villainess in the 2008 Christmas Special. And as for Billie Piper she is with child.

Reply:Billie Piper is pregnant and I don't think David Tennant is sticking around for very long, so I would guess she isn't coming back.
Sorry!
She is pregnant: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/hello/20080427/...
But I'm glad Mr Tennant is staying on!!! %26lt;3
