Should derrick rose be the first pick?

i personally think that derrick rose should be the first draft pick in the 2008 nba draft.why?because he is a great player that knows how to shoot,pass, and get to the hole.also he makes good decisions.i know the bulls have enuogh guards like hinrich,but derrick rose is an upgrade.if he goes to chicago he will make everyone better. i want everyones opinion and why.....and i almost forgot he will be a hometown boy.

Well, i mostly agree with you but like c'mon. Micheal Beasley???? He is really good. He can also, pass, shoot, get to the hole, post up, and is like a big point guard. But i really agree with you because at the same time, derrick rose has had more experience with a better team because he got to the final four. So, i would say that it would be better for Derrick rose to go to the Bulls, he will really help them out.

Reply:Point Guard is often the leader on the team. like Chris Paul, Steve Nash, J-Kidd, etc. I'd rather have Rose leading my team than w/ Beasley.
Reply:They don't have a center which Beasley could play. They also already have a really good point guard in Hinrich. They can't go wrong with either one but I think Beasley is the better player so it would be tough not to pick him seeing as how he also fits better with their personel
Reply:They should pick Micheal Beasley. Beasley is the best player in the draft. Why would they need him if they have Hinrich. They need a better inside man than Gooden or Noah (possibly the ugliest man in bball). Beasley is a better fit and a better player. In my opinion Rose will be a good player, but not a great player.



PS: I think O.J. Mayo is the second best though.
Reply:Of course, the guy is from Chicago and he's makes people better around him, oh did I forget to mention he's a marketing ideal like Lebron is to his hometown, enough said. And we all know that Chicago Bulls has no leader. Yeah so what if Beasley puts up numbers, I'll take Andrew Bogut over him any day. The point is, you need a guard like Rose, Chris Paul, Kidd, Nash, and Deron Williams to make you better. Beasley is immature at this stage and it won't help the Bulls, especially due to the run-ins that happen recently and late last season, I see Beasley perpuating Noah to smoke some more dro or sticky.
