Does this mean that the rose (the girl) is light/ happiness in his world of gray?

I really like this song and a guy just "dedicated" it to me..... And I just want to know what It REALLY means.

I presume the meaning is that the singer feels his world is less grey and gloomy since his lover's kiss.
