Rose Bowl '08-----Illinois or USC?

Allright for everyone that does not know Illinois is playing in the Rose Bowl this year against (surprise!) USC! I know no one is giving UI any love, but I know they will win...they've proved critics wrong all year! What do you all think???

Reply:they dont even deserve to be there in the first place the only reason they are there is because the rose bowl is biased to big ten teams. there were other deserving teams to be in a bcs bowl



like, missouri the only two loses were oklahoma

arizona st who only loses were to oregon when they were a goos team with dixon and usc

florida who lost to lsu georgia and a solid auburn team.

and illonois was 13 in the bcs standings so are you telling me out of ten teams that can make it in the bcs games they deserve to make it over ranks 6,11,12. no that isnt even right. so your teling me a team that lost to iowa should be in the rose bowl. no that is nonsence. so how do you expect to then beat usc? a good solid team.
Reply:like I said in the other Illinois, just like the OSU/LSU game, the Buckeyes are being underestimated, so are the Illini against USC. Illinois can and I think will win.
Reply:. yes.................... if you believe it will Happen , Williams and Mendenhall will have huge games............. I believe the "o" line will push the Trojans back.
Reply:I think everyone not living in Southern California are hoping the Illini can pull off the stunner but those darn Trojans are stacked with speed and power, not to mention a slew of good running backs. Wouldn't it be awesome to see USC get beat with the homefield advantage.
