Rose colours question?

I heard that you can have a rose in any colour except one. Is this true? And if it is, what color is it? Coz I have never seen roses in blue, black, purple, green or orange. Was whoever told me that pulling my leg?

Rose colours question?
Ive seen roses in all colors even the ones youve mentioned at the store at special times (like black at Halloween time) I think they can be died any color. :)
Reply:There are black roses out there (or at least deep enough color to look black) and I've see pictures of green rose (white's that never quite got it's color on.) But the one color that science is still working to create and that I hope to see in my life time is a true Blue Rose. The one's they have out now are really Lavender/pink shade-tones.
Reply:Yeah, they are pulling your leg. I have a blue/purple rose bush and an orange one. Black roses are suppose to be bad luck. I haven't seen a green one though, unless someone dyes it I don't think they grow natural.
Reply:Hi Hannah,

I planted a beautiful blue rose several years ago at a house I lived in. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the rose. There are gorgeous orange roses, as well as purple. The black roses are not true black, but rather have a purplish-blueish tinge.

Have you ever seen one called 'Jacobs Coat'? It is absolutely beautiful, fading from first one color into another - yellows to oranges.

The one I have never seen would be the green one. That is not to say that there are none...just I have yet to see one.

Hope this helps.
