Is giving a rose or a flower to someone on a first date thoughtful?
Rose giving?
If you are going to a girl's place to pick her up it is very nice to bring a simple bouquet of flowers. Roses are a bit too romantic and intimate for a first date. If you are just meeting her somewhere then leave the flowers for some other time - it would be awkward because she would not know where to put them, would not have water to keep them fresh etc.
Reply:Yes its sweet..but research the color and the significance. Women want to know why you are giving it and what is the significance is. Like if you are to give a red rose on the first date thats pushing it. Red means love....if you give a flower and state the significeance and mean it..then man you are well on your way to romance.
Reply:From a female point of view, yes a single rose would be very thoughtful and make you look like a great guy. Just give it to her before you leave so she can put it on water.
Reply:It is ,a single rose says alot.
red for passionate love.
pink for young love.
white for pure ,everlasting love.
yellow for your grandma

Reply:Very thoughtful and very romantic. Just don't make it red.......red is for true love. Yellow, white, or pink is great for a first date.
Reply:Sure, but just one. Still flattering, makes you look romantic, (if that's what you want) and a lot cheaper. Try another kind of flower, or maybe none at all-- save 'em for the second date.
Reply:One young man brought me a single red rose on our first date, for which we met at a restaurant. I dried it and have it to this day, since we ended up dating for two and a half years. I think that it can be a lovely gesture toward someone you have feelings for, such as a friend or co-worker you actually know, as opposed to someone you met at a bar and have no pre-existing relationship with.
